Today 18 November, is the official release date for Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC, and we’ve tried to repair some of the top graphics cards and establish the benchmarks. The fantastic game that debuted on the PlayStation 4 and 5 two years ago is now available on your PC! Additionally, it improved the aesthetics by utilizing the entire range of upscaling technologies and more significant ray-tracing effects (such as reflections and shadows). We’re utilizing a Sony preview, but we were promised that the retail edition should be quite similar to it. The most recent hardware was used for all our tests, including AMD 22.11.1, Intel 126.96.36.19902, and Nvidia 526.98. These all represent a novel strategy for Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
The stated system requirements and advice from Sony encompass a wide range, from the very minimum for 720p at 30 frames per second to the most advanced ray tracing settings for 4K and 60 frames per second with the highest settings. The GTX 950 is listed as the base recommended, but the AMD equivalent is about an R7 370, and driver support for pre-RX GPUs has been cut off. As the bare minimum GPU, you may refer to it as an RX 460. Although we wouldn’t bet on that smooth experience, he could have been jealous. The game may be played on earlier AMD FX-series CPUs if you choose; however, the minimum CPU requirement is for a Core i3-4160 or AMD equivalent.
Windows 10 64-bit, 8GB or more of memory, and 75GB of storage are required. Sony recommends an RTX 3080 or RX 6950 XT with a Core i7-12700K or Ryzen 9 5900X if you wish to play at the highest settings.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales PC 1080p Medium Performance
For each of the four fundamental settings—standard rendering (no ray tracing), standard rendering with upscaling, ray tracing performance, and ray tracing with upscaling—there are four charts provided. Each section will begin with a discussion of rasterization performance before moving on to ray tracing performance.
The graphics cards produce playable results at 1080p medium, the lowest settings we took the time to test. That’s not all that surprising, even though the A380 and 6500 XT are the only two cards we tested that can’t hit 60 frames per second. Also, note that the three fastest Nvidia cards have a maximum performance cap of about 150 frames per second.

Even without ray tracing, maxed-out settings seem to be approximately the upper bound of what you can anticipate from the lower spec GPUs. Arc A380 and RX 6500 XT only just about manage to get 30 frames per second. Contrarily, upscaling is more helpful this time, indicating that FSR and XeSS’s per-pixel complexity is significantly lower than the Very High level, which wasn’t the case at medium settings.
The fastest graphics cards are still running up against CPU restrictions, but Intel’s A770, which costs more than the RX 6600 XT but about equal to the RTX 3060, continues to perform admirably for a mainstream GPU. However, upscaling puts all three GPUs on a somewhat even playing field.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales PC 4K Very High Performance
The 4090 and 4080 continue to provide over 100 fps without ray tracing as we conclude the testing with our 4K maximum quality results, and DLSS3 again results in a significant increase in framerates. The RX 6800 XT still manages 60 frames per second at native resolution, while the RX 6600 XT and RTX 2060 just about manage 30 fps with upscaling. The RTX 3070, Arc A770, and RX 6700 XT can achieve 60 frames per second with upscaling.
This justifies the continued use of upscaling technology. Even though we’re only evaluating the highest-quality upscaling settings, we’ve already seen a performance gain of at least 30%. Upscaling in Balanced or even Performance mode becomes feasible at 4K, which could enable many more GPUs to support “4K gaming.”
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
A fantastic game that has only been available on PlayStation for the past two years is Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The PC version, if you haven’t played it there—I haven’t—ups the visual ante and performs admirably—on the correct hardware.
Still, Sony, two years is too long to wait for the PC port! It’s unlikely that sales of games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales stimulated console purchases much after the initial wave of console purchases was finished because there are millions of PC gamers who do not possess a PlayStation console. Try cutting that duration by three or even six months! Because many PC users would like to see more first-party PlayStation games on their preferred gaming platform.
